Born in Kalahandi, Orissa, India to a family of enthusiast poet-teachers and reluctant farmers, I had a lovely childhood. Wind caressing the parrot green rice fields, watching sunrise from the foggy backyard on a winter morning, ghumra and boria dance and songs on the streets of the village and an occasional drought that silenced my family and neighours but raised the clatter of skeletal beggars are the elements that formed me.
I grew up dreaming of becoming a poet and a teacher.
Started working life as a Central Banker and still doing many different kinds of banking. At 50, the marathon madness affected me seriously and have been training since early 2010.
Love poetry, photography, astrophysics, vedanta, art movies, Pink Floyd, Bhimsen Joshi and of course Kishori Amonkar.
